"Knip tree" (Knipboom): Tree nursery Carolus has further developed the unique concept of the "Knip tree". This tree shape is nowadays used as a standard. We use all possible means in order to guarantee the quality of the trees that are produced in our nursery.
After a two-year growing cycle, we offer the knip tree as a well-feathered tree having at least 7 branches. The first year, we cut the tree back at 80 centimeters (or at another height according to the customer's demand). And by giving the trees our best care, we continue in the second year to further grow the trees until we have a well-feathered saleable product to offer.
9-month tree: After a growing cycle of nine months, we offer the hand-refined tree as light-feathered vital tree.
The 9-month tree is mainly planted according to the fruit wall system. But the tree can also be used for traditional growing.
This system allows to do various operations mechanically. The work pressure reduces and the production remains at a very high level. The trees are light-feathered and therefore easy to plant in a hedge. This specific hedge structure makes it possible to pick, thin, etc ... more efficiently.

The 9-month tree could also be used for traditional growing. This is possible thanks to great branches. A good start and the trees can soon reach the desired production volume.
